Katherine LH Parker has devised a story that explores the unexpected connections between history, quantum physics, and the power of family. Click here to delve into the author's inspirations, aspirations, and the fascinating journey that brought this captivating tale to life.
Katherine LH Parker received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with a minor in Chemistry from the University of the South (Sewanee) in 1993, but she has been writing ever since.
Her career began with a position that worked with at-risk youth, in which she spent ten years writing detailed family biographies for juvenile court cases, documenting the life stories of children heading down the wrong path. These biographies were used to justify recommendations to the court, for the purpose of course-correcting young lives in need of intervention. She then tried her hand at business ownership, starting up a website development service. She spent the next fifteen years copywriting websites for dozens of clients representing most major industries. In between she would be found contributing travel articles to the local newspaper Lake Conroe Splash that showcased great Texas destinations. Blogging about literary pursuits and all sorts of academic subjects became a regular pastime while raising her children, as she continued to exercise her passion for learning right alongside them. She also has a chronic habit of composing poetry on all manner of subjects "just for the heck of it," which usually find their way into Christmas cards, Facebook posts, submitted to the Poetry Society of Texas, or shared with random audiences at a number of open mic poetry gatherings that happen around the Houston area with some regularity.
She is an autodidact and lover of great literature, and the idea of this trilogy was sparked while researching her own family ancestry. This story is a product of real history, real science, and a dedicated desire to craft a tale with delightful characters, an exciting plot, and an adventure that leads to a destination where real treasure awaits.
